Heck, even the State of South Carolina used this excuse when they sold the state drivers license database to a company which then turned the data over to a ‘third party’. Some of the biggest players have used the ‘3rd party’ excuse including Apple, Microsoft, and Google. They lose control and disavow responsibility with ‘gee, we did not know that they were going to do THAT with your information’. But to be honest I am most concerned when sites sell the info to ‘third parties’. ![]()
